just a friendly tip!!
When will she get a Food Network show or something?? I like her!
@soraluna606 The Frankies cookbook is really beautiful – very old school, 1970s, Craig Claiborne meets Alice Waters. And the Ratio app is pretty useful, especially if you’re like me and think it’s cool to be able to throw a bread or cookie dough together without having to reference a recipe
@PostCardStories Cool, hope she likes what you get for her! The Frankies book is really great and the recipes are all super affordable.
@ThinkpolAtTwitter Sounds like a really cool app! Doesn’t seem to be on the Palm Pre, but I’ll keep my eye out for it, thanks.
@swthetube You got me
@swthetube Tomato potato
no offense but you said .com instead of .org
Recently, I have been just looking at a cookbook Frida’s Feistas: Frida’s Fiestas: Recipes and Reminiscences of Life with Frida Kahlo. it really teaches me more about the recipes that my mother and father grew up. I also love the pictures, and the Casa Blue of Frida and it is like vintage.
Its pretty hot recently so I try to eat something simple. Fried Spam over some rice. Best thing ever.
It’s not an iPhone app, but “Cuts of Meat” by 2v Software for Android has been useful when trying to decided on what to buy at the butcher. Great interface, and really useful information on various cuts of beef, pork, lamb and fowl.
I have a friend that’s a culinary chef and is moving back home in September and I’ve been really trying to find something to buy her, like a cookbook of some sort that she could use. Thanks for the suggestions, I am definitely going to check these out and probably buy her one.
The “Frankies” cookbook looks so pretty! I will have to give it a look, as well as the Ratio app that ones seems fun and practical.
